You, my loyal fans, in my write-a-thon poll chose for me to write an urban fantasy in first person point of view with bromance/sismance in it somewhere.

(I confess some panic at Urban Fantasy winning. Hard SF had an early lead and I’d started researching topics!)

So, for the Clarion Write-a-Thon I will be writing a novel about a modern-day Quixote, a grad student who goes mad from reading too many urban fantasy stories and believes she is now a paranormal investigator. Her reluctant Sancho will be the narrator and sismance partner!

What’s in it for you??

As I have done in years past, I will once again enter all the people who pledge or donate at least $20 to my write-a-thon into a drawing for a handmade-by-me sweater.

Clarification: Pledge total counted as if I will meet my goal – for example, if you pledge $0.0005 per word written and I write all 50,000 promised in the six-week window, you have pledged $25 and are eligible to win the sweater. If I fail to meet the goal and only write, say, 10,000 words and your pledge total is $5, you are still in the drawing. (This is to motivate me.)
